Knock Off Wood

There's a blog that I frequently frequent and I know I'm not the only person who would love it so I'm going to share it. It's called Knock Off Wood and it is basically a home-spun carpentry site. Ana (the Proprietor) re-creates plans for furniture that you might find in Ikea or Yonkers or wherever and builds the stuff herself. She has a rather large following of other people who build her designs and then post their pictures.

Lately I've been fighting the urge to quit my job and just build new furniture. Problem is I would not be able to pay rent and then I wouldn't have anywhere to keep my hand made furniture. It's a vicious Cycle.

I am seriously considering this kids picnic table. For $35 and an afternoon? Really.
